ODP Region IV Championships this weekend

A lot of young boys and girls will head out to Phoenix in a couple days to represent Washington State in the ODP Region IV Championships. The event typically involves some great competition.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that they are going to do any streaming this year. Too bad, since I won't be going to Phoenix myself.

Here's the highlight video of June 24th's incredible Far West Regionals GU15 quarter-final between WPFC ECNL and defending GU14 National Champions, the MVLA Lightning. I happened to be there to record it, and never imagined I'd capture such a wild finish.

Eastside made it to the quarter-finals where they fell short against the runner-up in the California South State Cup. The final score was Beach G95 White 2, Eastside 1.

Eastside advances in Regionals

Eastside chalked up their 3rd win today to advance to the quarter-finals at the Far West Regionals in Boise, ID. EFC Red scored early and added a second goal before the half. Leading 2-0, Eastside settled into a passing game that kept LV Premier away from any serious attacks.

Eastside will play Southern California State Cup finalist and runner-up Beach G95 White in the quarters on Friday.

WPFC ECNL also advanced to the quarters, and will play the U14 National Champion MVLA Lightning on Friday.

Update2: GU15 Far West Regionals coming into focus

Update2: The last qualifier appears to be FC Super Nova from Idaho. They won their final today 2-0 over BNSC Premier.

Update1: Utah's Champion is Black Diamond G15. That only leaves Idaho. Their semi-finals are on Sunday with their final played Monday at noon.

As state cups wrap-up, it's becoming clearer who will be heading to Boise next month. Since I'm curious and impatient, I tried to figure out what teams were settled and what teams were yet TBD. Check it out.
